About Fancy Something Sweet
My name is Anneli and...
Fancy Something Sweet is my confectionery business. It all began in my little commercial kitchen at the bottom of my garden in Buckland Brewer in 2012. We have a five star rated kitchen where all the confectionery is made.
We are now expanding into a retail outlet in Bideford, originally the Chocolate Box in Mill Street. I worked there as a teenager as a Saturday girl! We will open on the 13th February - just in time for Valentine's Day.
I make bespoke personalised Chocolates and Devon clotted cream fudge and specialise in making a personalised product that is unique for you and your special day.
I also provide a selection of cookies - all hand made using high quality ingredients and local free range eggs.
I do make celebration cakes but, due to the high demand for our fudge and personalised chocolates, they are no longer on the website but some pictures can be found on my Facebook page. If you would like a celebration cake, please contact me directly.
I am currently producing cookies, fudge, and some chocolates for our local Buckland Brewer community shop and Belgian chocolates for Johns of Appledore and Instow.
Last year (2017) I was amazed at the interest in our giant personalised Easter eggs, one even being made especially for the BBC and shown on EastEnders on Good Friday! This one can be seen on the product page under giant Easter eggs.
I trained at Plymouth College in 'Bakery and Confectionery' and now that our three children are grown up and after juggling various jobs I decided it was time to go back to what I really love to do! So Fancy Something Sweet was created!
My husband, also a qualified Baker and Confectioner, has created some great recipes for the business including our clotted cream fudge and our yummy Belgian chocolate cookies.
Please have a look around the website and if you cant find what you want me contact me and I will try to help!
